Smartideas UK were appointed to design and install a new Structured cabling solution for The Range in St Albans. The project would comprise of 92 data outlets, 8 wireless AP`s and Fibre optic cables linking the new data cabinets.

To future proof the installation CAT6 data cable was the ideal choice to support the PoE applications in use ( Wireless AP`s, VoIP ect ). All the Data cabling was installed at high level in wire mesh tray work utilising a combination of scaffold tower and scissor lifts operated by our IPAF certified engineers. The network points were installed for the office PC`s, printers, Epos tills and WIFI access points.
Two network cabinets were installed connected by diverse OM4 fibre backbones ensuring network availability at all times.
